Armeo Power
The Hocoma Armeo Power is a state-of-the-art medical device designed to assist individuals with upper limb rehabilitation. This innovative device integrates advanced technology and ergonomic design to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation solution for patients with arm or hand impairments. The Armeo Power is equipped with a robotic arm that supports the patient's arm while they perform exercises, providing feedback and guidance throughout the therapy process. With its user-friendly interface and customizable therapy programs, the Armeo Power is an effective tool for rehabilitation professionals to help their patients regain strength, dexterity, and independence.

Features
Features

Highly Intensive Early Arm Rehabilitation
The ArmeoPower has been specifically designed for arm and hand therapy in an early stage of rehabilitation.
The device enables even patients with severe motor impairments to perform exercises with a high number of repetitions.

Adjustable Robotic Assist during Exercises
The ArmeoPower assists the patient’s arm as much as needed to successfully reach the goal of the exercise.
The robotic arm assistance can be adapted to the individual needs and changing abilities of each patient – from full assistance for patients with very little activity to no assistance at all for more advanced patients. Such adjustable robotic assistance while exercising, enables and motivates patients to actively participate in their training.

Arm weight support in an extensive workspace
The ArmeoPower carries the weight of the patient’s arm and hand and allows training in an extensive workspace.
The ArmeoPower supports 1D (joint-specific), 2D and 3D movements.

Motivating Exercises
An extensive library of game-like Augmented Performance Feedback exercises has been designed to train strength and range of motion needed for activities of daily living.
Immediate performance feedback motivates patients and helps to improve their motor abilities.

Increased Efficiency
The ArmeoPower improves efficiency of the therapy session by reducing the therapist’s physical effort and the need for continuous therapeutic guidance.
Moreover, the ArmeoPower enables therapists to make better use of their clinical know-how and expertise, by focusing on the optimal exercise planning, instead of manually delivering many repetitions.

Objective Assessments
The ArmeoPower precisely records how patients perform during their therapy sessions.
Standardized Assessment Tools evaluate a patient’s motor functions such as joint range of motion and forces. The results can be used to analyze and document the patient’s state and therapy progress. Results can then be shared with the patient and other clinicians.

Hand Training (Optional)
The ManovoPower enables severely impaired patients to exercise hand opening and closing through different levels of support.
The Augmented Performance Feedback exercises motivate patients to exercise hand opening and closing with high effort.

Part of a Modular Therapy Concept
The ArmeoPower is part of the modular Armeo Therapy Concept, an upper extremity concept that covers the “Continuum of Rehabilitation” throughout a range of devices, each developed for a specific stage of rehabilitation – from acute rehabilitation to long-term recovery.
