Life Science Robotics is the developer of ROBERT®, an innovative robotic solution designed for the early mobilization of bedridden patients. In clinical settings, physical therapists often face significant physical strain when performing repetitive mobilization exercises for patients with limited mobility. ROBERT® is a collaborative robot (cobot) that takes over this heavy lifting. It can perform repetitive movements for the lower limbs; such as flexion, abduction, and rotation with high precision and infinite repeatability. This allows the therapist to focus on the patient's form and cognitive engagement rather than the physical labor. The system is designed to be rolled directly to the patient's hospital bed, enabling "Early Mobilization," which is proven to reduce hospital stays, prevent pressure sores, and accelerate the recovery of motor function after major surgery or neurological events.
